FYI, from the Biodiversity Information Standards - TDWG (maintainers of the Darwin Core standard):

The TDWG 2026 Call for Sessions is now open! Deadline is 25 February 2026, 23:59 UTC-10.We invite you to submit a proposal for an organized session at TDWG 2026 in Oslo, Norway, 21-25 September. Submissions should reflect the work that TDWG does and the ways that collections and standards contribute to our understanding and documentation of biodiversity.We strongly encourage you to consider the conference theme: Research and Robot-ready Biodiversity Data Standards.Organized session types include symposia with either long or lightning talks, discussions, workshops and others.
Every session must include at least two organizers who will be present at the in-person meeting to run the session. Every session must have an abstract that will be published on the TDWG 2026 website. ALL session organizers, presenters, and panelists in the session must be registered for the conference.Visit the TDWG 2026 conference website for more information and detailed instructions.
