Due to holiday leave schedules, in lieu of our traditional last Thursday of the month DMAC tech webinar time slot, next Thursday Dec 8 we'll feature Filipe Fernandes of SECOORA to present PyScript for Oceanography. Bio: Filipe Fernandes is a contractor working with
SECOORA/IOOS as a Software developer and Open Source Advocate
since 2014.
Summary: Python on the web has always been a torn issue for
Pythonistas. However, latest development on WebAssembly (WASM) are
change the landscape and JavaScript no longer reigns supreme.
WASM potential goes beyond putting binaries on the web, we may be
close to a universal binary for any platform that runs a
browser-like frontend.
