IOOS DMAC Tech Webinar Oct 3 - Plankton Data

Hi everyone,

This month's IOOS DMAC Tech webinar will be pushed to Thursday, October 3 at 3 pm Eastern. It will feature a panel of experts from various plankton observing projects for a webinar titled "Identifying Challenges and Solutions for Advancing IOOS Plankton Observation Data". The panelists will be Clarissa Anderson, Stace Beaulieu, Bob Currier & Barb Kirkpatrick, Maria Kavanaugh, Riley Morse, and Inia Soto-Ramos. The goal of this webinar is to begin a community-led conversation about data management needs and data flow guidelines for plankton data. We encourage anyone with expertise or interest in plankton data to attend and join the discussion.

Agenda:

- Introduction of the purpose of the webinar

- 5 minute lightning talks from each panelist about data management challenges and workflows within their projects

- Discussion and Q&A on best practices and data flows to make plankton available for broad usage
