  • Travel Vouchers: We will have a limited number of travel vouchers available again this year to assist with travel and hotel for in person attendees. They are made available by the IOOS Program Office for members of IOOS Regional Association staff and partners. More details will follow.

  • Topics: As in previous Code Sprint events, the topics are identified by the participants. Have a problem that’s been nagging you? Need some help pushing something over the finish line? Have an idea but need to brainstorm on a solution? Submit your ideas here. To review the list of proposed projects, see here.

As a reminder the IOOS Code Sprint is a 3-day hackathon style event on 17–19 November 2026, organized by the Gulf of America Coastal Ocean Observing System (GCOOS) and the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) Office. Over the course of the event, teams of developers, academic researchers, and community members will work on projects that address pressing data and information challenges. Projects will relate to the IOOS mission to produce, integrate, and communicate high quality ocean, coastal and Great Lakes information that meets the safety, economic, and stewardship needs of the Nation.

Thanks and hope to see you there!
