New extended deadline to Submit a Session for TDWG 2026!
Great news! We’ve extended the deadline for TDWG 2026 Call for Sessions. Extended deadline is is 2 March 2026, 23:59 UTC-10.Check in your local timezone.
We invite you to submit a proposal for an organized session at TDWG 2026 in Oslo, Norway, 21-25 September. Submissions should reflect the work that TDWG does and the ways that collections and standards contribute to our understanding and documentation of biodiversity.
We strongly encourage you to consider the conference theme: Research and Robot-ready Biodiversity Data Standards.
Organized session types include symposia with either standard or lightning talks, workshops and others.
New this year are discussion sessions where you can engage with each other to discuss a specific topic of concern. Discussion sessions can include a panel or a facilitator, as well as break out sessions. They can also include pre-recorded presentations to be watched prior to the discussion.
Every session must include at least two organizers who will be present at the in-person meeting to run the session. Every session must have an abstract that will be published on the TDWG 2026 website. At least two session organizers, and all presenters, and panelists must be registered for the conference.
