Colleagues,

Friendly reminder about the AGU abstract deadline.  I'm sure many of you have worthy things to share at the Fall meeting.  I hope to see many of you there!

Best,
Derrick

Informatics Members,

As we enter abstract home stretch for AGU24, I encourage you to submit an abstract to communicate and share your work!

We have over 50 sessions proposed this year with something for everyone, including informatics-specific sessions such as AI readiness and modeling, data and AI ethics, infrastructure, big data, PIDs, digital twins, ML, LLMs, Earth observations and data impacts, and FAIR and Open data; to informatics topics and applications within specific geoscience disciplines such as agriculture, volcanology, hydrology, geobiology, and paleogeosciences; as well as interdisciplinary sessions including natural hazards and climate assessments.

This year’s session lineup highlights both our community’s drive to advance Informatics technologies and techniques as a science in its own right, as well as the value and growing use and of informatics in the geosciences. So, whether you practice informatics within one of AGU’s section disciplines, or your informatics work is discipline-agnostic, please consider contributing to one or more of these provocative sessions.

Browse the Informatics sessions and submit your abstract today! The deadline for submissions is 23:59 pm ET THIS WEDNESDAY, July 31st.

Thank you for sharing your science through AGU!

Danie Kinkade, Informatics Section President
