Hi Matt!
I hope all is well with you.
The IOOS Code Sprint looks very, very interesting. The erddap section seems super cool, especially "how to get started with your erddap server".
I discussed with Jim Potemra (co-pi of HOT) last year about installing Erddap for the HOT program . We believe it would be suitable for the program to use the system instead of ftp. Also, it seems that it would be easier to do some kind of data integration "push-pull" with BCO-DMO to include some new data, such as underway, metobs, currently not distributed by BCO-DMO ... Perhaps it would facilitate the communication between HOT and BCO-DMO. What do you think?
I know Bob has an installation guide tutorial (https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/download/setup.html), but I feel intimidated about it (any advice? AWS, docker or straight in the server? any other comments? I was planning to install it on my own ubunutu machine that i created for playing around just to see how it goes). However, I am willing to try that guide to get some experience and get more familiar with the system.
Either way, let me know if you have more information about the erddap section.
Have a great weekend,
Cheers,
Fernando

Good Afternoon!
David from GLOS here.
We’re looking forward to seeing many of you at the Code Sprint. To follow on Matt's previous message regarding registration, we do have a limited amount of travel vouchers available for those who are interested in attending in-person. Below you will find more information about the vouchers and how to apply.
Three things:
Booking Hotel Rooms: For those attending in-person, hotel reservations through our block at the Pendry are available through April 4. This year, we are attempting to ensure the rooms are on the same floor as the Code Sprint to allow everyone to attend in their slippers 🩰.
Travel Vouchers: If you are interested in applying for a travel voucher, please complete this form, at latest by March 31. And don’t forget to register, too!
These vouchers will be distributed as $1,500 checks sent prior to the event to cover airfare, lodging, food, or other related expenses. They are made available by the IOOS Program Office for members of IOOS regional association staff and partners.
We have 10 to give out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Registering and tracks: A reminder that if you’re not yet registered, please complete the form by March 31, and also consider leading a track or a topic within a track.
That’s all for now,
-David
