The IOL Anxiety Disorders Center/Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is pleased to announce a new workshop for parents of anxious or defiant children. Dates are to be announced and dependent on enrollment.
The workshop will consist of two 2.5-hour sessions, two weeks apart. Parents will learn critical skills, including:
- Contingency management
- Setting limits
- Responding to outbursts
- Encouraging new habits
In the first session, parents will work on an individualized behavior plan for their children. They will then be encouraged to practice the plan for two weeks, and to fine-tune the program at the second session.
This workshop is not intended to be a form of therapy, and attendees and their children will not be enrolled as patients.
The cost for the workshop is $250 per couple or single parent.
