Hello,

I try update firmware on IOIO board.
I installed IOIO Manager on Android (2.2 on HTC Desire), downloaded all necessary for update firmware (from https://github.com/ytai/ioio/wiki/Downloads).
Manager launched, selected images, gone to the 'Programmer', selected library and gotten 'Waiting IOIO connection...'. How as : https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-2_QMkuzD_Cw/ThtcNfiJLYI/AAAAAAAAUIE/7Bev0-w4Ij0/boot_lib_menu.jpg
Waited about 30 minute, but nothing happened...
What I must do for update firmware on IOIO board?

Thanks!

I think you got it a little wrong. Full documentation in: https://github.com/ytai/ioio/wiki/The-IOIO-Manager-Application

In short:
  • You don't need the "Programmer" menu option at all - it is only for using one IOIO as a programmer for another, mainly for updating the bootloader. So far, there hasn't been any bootloader update.
  • Just make sure you have the App-IOIO0300 on your Application Firmware page (the main page) and star it - i.e. make sure it has a yellow star next to it.
  • The next time you power-cycle your IOIO and connect it, its yellow LED should blink for 2-3 seconds (compared to the very short blink you normally get).
  • You're done! The firmware is updated. You should be able to verify it by running it against HelloIOIO taken from the App-IOIO0302.zip package. If it works, the firmware is updated.
  • BTW, once you upgrade, your IOIO can be used as a programmer for another IOIO, as mentioned above, so if you then enter the programmer menu you should see a message saying that IOIO is connected. This should happen immediately. No need to wait more than a second. But then again, at the moment there's not much you can do with this feature.
If something doesn't work for you with this instruction, please check that the ADB icon (a small bug icon) appears on your device when IOIO is connected. If it doesn't, make sure USB Debugging is on and that charging current is sufficient.
