If i may ask, your android has camera. What is the need for an external camera?

And what ttl camera are you looking at? Is it the serial jpg cam? Or the ones with sccb interface?

I want a camera to report back to the android device.  There are a couple of video cameras that stream via serial, the best candidate so far is from Jameco. I can think of a few ideas where this would be useful... remote video for a robot or a flying device for weight.  My idea is for remote bird watching.  In its most basic I can watch and trigger another camera for a photograph, in an advanced situation, the android device can sense the movement in the video and remotely trigger the shutter release on the camera.

Dave, would you be kind enough to open a new thread on this forum and tell us a little about IOIOScript? It sounds interesting!

Not exactly... but you can stream from the Android phone to a laptop over wifi using IOIOScript (it's an app on Google Play).

I need to stream video back to the android device in low resolution.  I want to connect a ttl video camera to the IOIO and stream this back to an Android tablet. Does anyone have a solution for this? I know that this would create lag over bluetooth but I plan to use this using the usb cable connection.

Thanks in advance.
