Thanks. I will go through the report when I have time. I assume Fireflies is the group by Siddhartha.

I am trying a response to this new Googlegrooups alias ID; I assume it will reach everyone.

It will be interesting to note that some of us, at Om Mamaji's initiative, had sung Kaun Hai Jimmedar and Kal to Roti to Sri Thakurdas Bang and other Sarvodayees in a remote town of Assam way back in early eighties. His book Bharat Kidhar had stirred me then, and it was his and Sri Siddharaj Dhaddha' suggestion that led me to read Gandhi's My Experiment's with Truth years ago. It was a Sarvoday conclave hosted by us, and we used the MRA tag only to introduce the songs.

The only thing we should be wary of is spreading ourselves too thin. I feel - and you need not agree, if the majority feels otherwise, let's go with the majority - that we should not promote ourselves as another NGO.

Friends of Initiatives of Change-Bangalore sounds a bit awkward for a loose group without structure, esp if we go to some place and just announce ourselves as representing IofC.

Initiatives of Change should inspire us to initiate change, and interact with positive people, places, print - but unlike the Navadarshanam session on 15-Aug, or the Municipal programme commencing today, so many things we do need not be 'tagged' as IofC work.

Thanks once again for all the efforts that so many have put to get the initiatives going.

Thakurdas Bang and some others, including Siddharaj Dhadha (who is no
more), had paid a surprise visit to Navadarshanam late one evening
four or five years back, and stayed on for the night. He will be with
us again for two days from 8:30 am tomorrow.
One wonders what is the secret of people like him having such an
unfading vision that keeps them going without wavering from the
Gandhian path they have chosen for themselves.
