[IOCI] 11 May - Is local democracy relevant for a sustainable future?

At 7.30pm on Tuesday 11 May SOC is hosting a public meeting at the
Oxford Tce Baptist Church Lounge, corner Oxford Tce and Madras St.
Speaking is Mike Reid, Governance Manager at Local Government New
Zealand. The pertinent topic is "Is local democracy relevant for a

sustainable future?"

Note that in the recent Transition Forum Info you may have seen this
event advertised along with another at exactly the same time and place.

That meeting, where Bob Frame will talk on his e-book “Hatched: The
Capacity for Sustainable Development”, has been postponed to a later
date.
