We are working on projects in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Honduras to farm biofuels. Our first emphasis is the gathering of existing and wild crops. We are attempting to establish buying stations to purchase oil producing nuts of Jatropha from local gatherers. We are also siting mechanical crush facilities to take advantage local palm plantings for oil production.

After the small farmer and rural resident become aware of the value of oilseed production we will work with them to organize plantings of selected oil seed bearing crops for dedicated biofuel production.

We have identified many thousands of hectares of oil bearing plants already existing in these areas. Some had been planted as living fences, some as ornamentals and some are just wild. In any case they bear oil seeds which can be turned into cash.

With cash comes many opportunities. Feed, genetics, fencing, machinery all become available if the rural poor can obtain funds from some activities.
