Hi Jacky,
Thanks for forwarding this to me. I see there are a large number of "Bio-char" groups forming. I find it disturbing that everyone is trying to use a quick fix approach. But, I guess sequestration is sequestration. It would be better though if they went all the way to reproduce the dark earth soils themselves, including the humus component. The professors I have mentioned this to were quite unreceptive to the idea.
A freind of mine, an engineer/ MBA/ etc. is working with me to put together a proposal for a farm scale demonstration of the method I first demonstrated in 2002. I no longer have access to the site where I did the 2006 demonstration. And, it needs to be shown that ths is aviable soil enrichment/ sequestration option for farmers.
A couple days ago another engineer said that I should present the material in book form and I plan to do that once I have photos and soil analysis results fornt the farm size project.
Feel free to share any information you would like from the 2007 seminar. I have no interest in profiting from the information. But, I don't want someone elkse trying to claim the right to control it and thereby restrict access to it by those who might be able to further its spread.
If you still have a copy of the document "Humus Considerations for Tropical Soils" Or a similar name; I would appreciate you sending me a copy. As it turns out, I only had a single copy on my desk top and dmaged it beyond recognition last week. The only other copy I have is the original that I wrote for the seminar. But it is on an external hard drive that has been damaged.
Thanks! It is good to know you are still busy.
