There is another interesting link on the Green Car Congress website
that pertains our discussion:
"Chinese Academy of Sciences Makes Recommendations for Non-Petroleum
Energy Sources; Focus on Electric Transportation and Substitute Fuels"

http://www.greencarcongress.com/2007/03/chinese_academy.html#more

I found the following para among the recommendations especially
interesting:

"Support the development of cellulosic ethanol production, and support
research into the breeding of fast-growing energy-rich plants in
desert and desolate areas that can provide biomass for bioethanol and
biodiesel manufacturing. Furthermore, efforts should be made to
develop mass production bases for those fuels without the occupation
of farmlands."

Doesn't that sound very much like CTT?

Yes, it also sounds like a promo for algae as source of oil for biodiesel and biomass for cellulosic ethanol.  But we can take the CTT image and use it.
