Jacky passed away on August 22 this year. I don't know how extensive
the reporting has been so I though it best to notify the list as a
whole.

Below is an exchange between Jacky's wife and Mike Barnett:

Thanks, it is the least I can do. I have shared the news with some,
and he will be sorely missed.
We all remember his as someone who worked tirelessly, to aid others.
This was the comment of one person...
"Sad news indeed. Jackie was a tireless worker for others. He
deserved significant recognition but he didn't seek it."
I will let you know of some of the links I make. If you/your sons
would like to be kept abreast of some of the feedback and comments of
the vast Internet community that knew Jacky, please let me know as I
know that too much mail at this time can be tiresome, but maybe an
alternate address can be set up for this?
This is only if you like, just let me know if there is interest in the
family to read any potential expressions of condolences?
God bless you too. Thanks and just know that his work was not in vain!

Our eldest son,Jody is trying to close down jacky´s internet
activities as requested by Jacky himself . I do not really know how
much has been done to this date.
I would appreciate it very much and will be grateful if you can inform
others who you think would like to know about Jacky. I am sure Jacky
would like that too.
Thank you again.

I am at a loss for words since yesterday.
I can only take comfort in that you speak of God's grace, and so I
pray Jacky knew the peace of God, and the love of Jesus Christ in his
life...
I was for years enthralled in the work that he did before constantly
meeting up in listgroups all over the web. It seems to me like a
fellow "villager" has passed away, as we were always in the same
listgroups all over the world.. In the early years of Internet, I
remember coming across his name a lot, and realising there were others
like myself who love the concept of integrated biosystems... And
working to set these up.
I remember seeing pictures of his work at the Montfort Boys Home, and
it became a "ideal" in my mind of what was possible, so much so that I
actually work now with a faith based group, reaching young at risk
youth.
I took these images of a sucessful story in my mind to comfort,
knowing that this concept would be my life's work.
I had come to know God in a more "real" way, and so, got out of
"everyday" Engineering, and started to work with a faith based non
profit in Jamaica where I was originally from/born. So these IBS
concepts live on our facility!!
His tireless work setting up Internet conferences will not be
forgotten and the useful exchanges that have taken place
INTERNATIONALLY have and will go on, to making this world a better
place.
Not to cause you any further "work" or stress,... but have the other
lists Jacky was on been notified? I have not seen any mails to that
effect, would it be proper for me to let others know, I know many
others would want to know?
The last interaction we worked on together was Jacky interviewing a
rabbit farmer in Kenya for me.. In lieu of sponsoring some rabbits.
I also was on his African rabbits4meat list. There, his goodbye was
rather short and swift so I wasnt sure what had happened!
May Almighty God give you comfort in knowing the work your husband,
and father did in this earth is still positively impacting minds and
people even now, and for a long time to come. Please share this
sentiment with your sons too.
May God bless you and keep you at this time.

Hello!
My name is Agnes and am the wife of Jacky Foo.
It is with much sadness that I write to you this very sad news about
Jacky.
Jacky has been sick since late January this year. He developed several
blood clots in the abdomen which lead to bleeding and other severe
complications. On 22 august 2010, he passed away peacefully in God´s
grace and with a smile on his face.He was prepared and, he even
planned his own funeral with me and our 2 sons. We missed him terribly
and it is a very difficult time for all of us.
I am sure he would have wanted me to say his goodbye to you and to
wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Agnes Foo
