Dear Paul,

Thanks for inviting me to join IOBB Bioenergy WG. I have colleague, Dr.
Ssengonzi of Department of Mechnical Engineering in the Faculty of
Engineering at Kyambogo University and is interested in using ethanal
from crops for fuel production. I will be having some disscusion with
him and ask him to join our group.We plan to have a project in the
rural Uganda where energy needs are very critical for development. More
on this later.

could you provide a few lines to describe each of the two activities

Mr. H Chanakya (Centre for Sustainable Technologies, Indian Institute
of Science) will be attending the forthcoming World Renewable Energy
Network's International Conference - "Renewable Energy for Sustainable
Development in the Asia Pacific Region" (Feb 4-8 2007, Australia)
(http://www.etc.murdoch.edu.au/pages/WREN07.pdf) and may find some use
of the information in his ppt presentation about IOBB and the
WG-Bioenergy.

semister starts today and most people will return from
their holidays this weeek including Edward Makana(GS).
