We are excited to announce that iO is making a stronger push to create, facilitate, and distribute comedic video content created by the iO community to be featured on iO’s YouTube channel, The iO Comedy Network.
Our mission to help members of the iO community create and distribute video content has been bolstered with the addition and collaboration of a small group of people with the background and resources to help get your ideas and material shared with broader audience.
Meet the new team that will be spearheading this effort:
Quinn Wilson – Head of Production:
A Chicago based filmmaker and comedian, Quinn is a festival award-winning director & producer of indie features, commercials, and shorts and has with Funny Or Die, The Onion, Break Media, & The Z Living Network. Wilson is excited to sink his teeth into growing the iO Comedy Network and bringing the work and ideas of the iO community to life.
Emily Williams, Kathleen Fitzgerald, & Cesar Jaime – Producers
Emily and Kathleen have spent years working at YouTube and Google where they worked on brand and channel strategy development for CBS and Sundance, as well as rich media campaigns for top entertainment brands like Fox Theatricals, also, Kathleen was part of the original team that helped launch Jimmy Kimmel Live’s YouTube Channel.
Cesar created the iO Comedy Network in an effort to help showcase the talents of the iO community with a broader audience, and is very excited for what the combined talents of this group can bring to iO Alums.
Our Mission:
- Connect people who want to work on video projects
- Create more content to post directly on the iO Comedy Network YouTube Channel
- Get to a point where we have enough content being generated that we can release new content on a weekly basis
How YOU can get involved:
- Create content – You can create your own content and we’ll be happy to help distribute it as a non-branded iO original video on the iO Comedy Network Youtube Channel.
- Submit a pitch/script for your project - If you’ve got a great idea for a one-off or a series but need help finding a crew, equipment, locations, etc., fill out the submission form on THIS PAGE , and we’ll do our best to aid you produce your content, and distribute it under the iO umbrella.
- Get a playlist for your team/group - If you’ve got lots of ideas and are already in the habit of making videos, submit those links on THIS PAGE and let us know you want your own playlist on our channel.
- Volunteer your services - If you’ve got skills like editing, music production, cinematography, make-up or anything else production related, we’d love to add you to our list of volunteers that can help on projects (especially if you own equipment.). If you don’t have any experience but want to help, please reach out, this is a great way to learn film production. Please contact Quinn Wilson at io...@ioimprov.com to be a part of the team.
