With great sadness I extend my condolences to the loss of Yaffa to the Ketko family.
As a youngster and connected through family, i met Yaffa in 1961, as a newcomer to Jerusalem about to begin my studies at Hebrew Uni.
They lived in a tiny one room apartment with Mimi & Oded their first two children in Rehavia.
They welcomed me to their humble abode and made me feel at home. Yaffa always remembered these early visits from 1961 and Shlomo helped me register at H.U.
Fast Forward 60 years the last time Shlomo & Yaffa visited us in Zichron where two of their 5 outstanding children had settled. Though her mind was less lucid she was still able to refer to our first encounters and how olives and humous were not to my liking.
She was devoted & indefatigable in her love of learning and homemaking for her uniquely ambitious family of 4 generations strong.
May her soul rest in peace.

Unfortunately Yaffa Ketko wife of Shlomo Ketko passed away this morning.
The funeral will be at 18.00 today at the Beit Hesped in Har Haminucot Jerusalem.
