Dear Friends,

You probably heard that Governor Paterson has said he would close a number of State parks as part of his plan to close the current budget deficit. If this were to occur, this would be the first time in New York State's history that a governor has closed state parks.

I'm writing on behalf of Senator Stachowski who feels that there are better ways to save the state money without stripping residents of their recreational facilities. Please join us for a rally to Save Our Parks at Woodlawn Beach State Park this Saturday, March 6 at 11am! Show Governor Paterson that we say "no" when it comes to closing our State Parks.

for Justin or Michele or at this e-mail address with any questions or to show your support! Also, please feel free to forward this along to colleagues/friends/supporters of the State Parks.
