Hi guys,

We missed you at the monthly meeting for training. There are a couple of ideas and an issue that were tossed around to help get the group more, but they need a home or support to get done.

1. business cards for facilitators to advertise the group.

We are looking to have a simple card that has the description of the open space technology meeting group's purpose on one side and a link to the web site on the other. How might we get funds for the cards? The cards could be a part of the OST box used for meetings.

2. offer internships to the local service learning agencies as opportunities for marketing students to write stories or handle publicity. In order for these to be a supported internship, the service learning center or the internship coordinator would expect the opportunity have legal authority to host the intern. It will need to be hosted by a LLC., 501 c 3 or a government agency. Is there an organization that would be willing to host an intern that would: write press releases of meetings and disseminate meetings to the media, type up clear stories to make sense of the meeting notes posted on the invitingbuffalo web site, and blog about it to other groups? The internship could go towards a high school student interested in marketing. Again, it should be support be legal entity.

3. what might be the ways to incentivize the OST process so that individuals will be motivated to host meetings and tackle challenges? Blocks exist in terms rewarding individuals for their effort.

A recent article in Fast Company stated this bluntly, "Forget the altruistic, find the self interested." The article is posted here:
