How much involvement do you believe God has?

In speaking with a few about the matter of God's involvement in his
creation, I've gotten very subtly different responses.

Do you believe that God planned out just the "major", "big", "history
book worthy", or "significant" events in creation?

> How do you define that since the idea is subjective from person to person, from people group to people group, and even from man to God?

> If God only concerns himself with the big things, then who or what is responsible for the "little" or "not-so-important" things?

For me it seems difficult to make a biblical case that God is not
completely sovereign and deeply involved with all of creation. In
addition to all the things Grudem mentioned, I think the natural
consequence of God being omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all
powerful), and doing all things for his glory (Isa 43:7, Rom 11:36,
Phil 2:11, etc) is that he is completely aware of what needs be done
to achieve his purposes, that he is completely able to do what needs
to be done, and that he is actively doing all things for his glory and
our joy. To think that God is not in complete control over any part of
creation would be either saying that he is not fully aware of all
things or that he is unable to do anything about it.

Eph 1:11 - In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been
predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things
according to the counsel of his will

Tallyho,
Matt
