Below is a photo of an INCA meeting I took many years ago in Potomac, Maryland. Roland, black shirt in the center, is explaining his carpentry miter saw and shoe inventions. 

Below is an image of the 1857 oil painting "Men of Progress" at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC.  

I've always thought it is interesting despite being from such different centuries and mediums, the lighting, gestures, subject matter, and colors between these two images really do echo one another. Both these images have appeared on INCA T-shirts and mugs.
