Instead of minutes I have implemented the topics we have been spoken about in the prepared file to fill in the application form. Most of the thoughts you find under “summery” at the beginning and “workplan” at the end.

During our video conference we agreed to focus on several aspects of democracy during the transnational meetings. As we decided to combine the project organiser’s kick-off meeting with the first transnational meeting of the participants, we would have 4 meetings. But we agreed on 5 topics:

1.Perceptions of democracy at national and EU level,

2.Citizenship and political structures of the EU

3.Economic and social fundaments of democracy

4.Democracy and sustainable development

5.Visions.

 

We have 2 options
Either we held a 5^th meeting, for example in Romania

Or we combine the last two points. In this case we would go to Bulgaria in spring and not in autumn as Hristina wished to do.

 

Open question:

1. TITLE of the project? Please make a brainstorming with friends or whatever and then suggestions.

2. Shall we cancel the aim to produce information material about the European union’s political structures (like pictures)?

Yes – it would be pity, such a result were really necessary and useful for others. It would also bring us some “points” in the application.

No – how to integrate it in our workplan and combine it with the chosen methods?

3. Work separation: Who would be responsible to establish a common website? Who could organise the trainer’s handbook production?

 

Application procedure

We agreed that everyone puts his/her thoughts in the application form. Either as sentences or just as thoughts. Together we are richer (of content) – it would be therefore better if you took some time and fill your ideas in. I will then create a text from it.

ATTENTION: Please save the file with the current date and your country. Example: “Appl. Democracy RO 090213” if Alexia has worked with the file. We can then avoid confusions.

 

DATES:

9^th February – send your contributions

11^th February – I will send you the text

13^th February – discussing open questions

15^th February – you get the application form from me

The application has to be printed and signed by your director. Send it to your National agency. PAY ATTENTION: Some of you need a bank legitimation/confirmation or/and an “official” paper to confirm the juridical status of your organisation.
