The galaxy is part of a cluster the telescope has been observing in the past year, that belong to an age of the Universe in which such big, bright galaxies are not expected by the standard cosmological theory. Theoreticians are scrambling to explain these findings.

Since the first results of the JWST have started to flow, scientists have been surprised by images of bright galaxies with redshift above 10, corresponding to less than half-a- billion years after the Big Bang. The one reported in the article has an estimated redshift of 12. This means the image represents the galaxy as it looked like around 400 million years after the beginning of the Universe.

At the beginning of his long career, Bellini mastered the Renaissance techniques before adapting them and creating his own school of painting, focussed on a more sensuous and sumptuously coloured style.

An international team of astronomers led by scientists at the University of California, Riverside, has found an unusual monster galaxy that existed about 12 billion years ago, when the universe was only 1.8 billion years old.

@Victor: the origin of italian surnames can be checked on the site. Do Nascimento does not sound italian at all. It is probably spanish. Carnavale can stand for CarnEvale. Many of the surnames you cite are personal names, some of them written in strange ways; badly transcribed, maybe? For example PaOlo, BenedEtto. Francesco and Geralda are pesonal names. Olivieri is a common surname, but we also have a personal name: Oliviero; not common, but think about Oliviero Toscani the photographer!

Jupiter is the name of the fifth planet from the sun. The name was considered too grandiose or hippie-like for a mortal boy. But times are changing, and Jupiter is beginning to gain popularity in the U.S.

If you've always been fascinated by the night sky and outer space, you might want to consider one of the galaxy-inspired names for your little boy or girl. Plus we're featuring our favorite gender-neutral options.

Our origins trace back to the end of the 19th century, when Giovanni Agnelli founded Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, or FIAT. He led the company over the decades by innovating, expanding internationally and investing in new industries. In 1923 he acquired the football club Juventus, founded a few years earlier in Turin. It marked the beginning of the longest uninterrupted ownership of a sports franchise in the world. In recognition of his achievements, Giovanni Agnelli was awarded the highest honour of the Italian parliament, becoming Il Senatore.

At the beginning of 2021 Exor became the single largest shareholder in Stellantis, following the 50:50 merger of FCA with Groupe PSA. This bold combination created a company capable of playing a leading role in shaping the new era of mobility.

This is fantastic! I used some "spicy" chicken italian sausage, which was yummy although not that spicy! Next time, I'll try to find something spicier (or do you think I could just add a little bit of red pepper flakes?) Still-extremely tasty and I can't wait to have for lunch!

Your photos sold me on this dish, YUM!!! So I made this tonight but made gluten free pasta from scratch (my first time making pasta!). For the dish, I accidentally bought pureed toms with basil (which I use all the time) and mild chicken italian sausage (with added red pepper flakes)and it came out great! I will be sharing your recipe linked on my blog soon ...

I made this last night and it was so good. I am not a huge spicy fan so I used sweet italian sausage. I knew with all the wonderful reviews this had to be good and I was not dissapointed. Thanks for the great new recipe and for leftovers for lunch today!!

i made this pasta dish tonight. i used glutten free noodles. i didnt have spicy sausage so i used sweet basil italian sausage and as it cooked i stirred in a few pinches of crushed red pepper. it was so good. my kids loved it. there are no left overs......so sad

I have made this recipe a few times now and every time it is a hit! Everyone in my family loves it. Only thing I add differently is an extra package of mild italian sausage along with the hot. Just so good any season of the year.

Temperature changes affect the white-to-purple ratio on the flowers. In colder temperatures, galaxy flowers show more white, and in hotter environments, they emphasize purple. The white dots will disappear entirely if the weather stays hot enough for long enough.

For best results, place your galaxy flowers near a window with plenty of natural light, or you can DIY your light source by investing in some plant lights. LED lights and other artificial light sources can encourage your petunias to blossom, but gardeners should keep light intensity to 50,000 to 80,000 lux.

Like other petunias, galaxy flowers flourish best in rich, loamy soil filled with organic matter. However, they will grow in nearly any potting mix you put them in. Ask at your local garden center or search on Amazon for a product you like.

Temperatures dramatically affect the striking colors and patterns that make galaxy flowers unique: the colder the environment, the more white spots on the petal. The deep purple color tends to take over as the temperature warms up.

Watering is a bit delicate with these plants. The soil should be moist but not too wet. Make sure to water your galaxy flowers frequently, but do not let them sit in water, or they can develop root rot.

Like most other plants, galaxy flowers are susceptible to diseases. Botrytis, Rhizoctonia, and Pythium are three diseases commonly found in galaxy flowers. You can usually avoid Botrytis by allowing your soil to dry between waterings. Improving drainage and aeration can prevent Rhizoctonia. You probably need to invest in a fungicide if your plant gets Pythium.

Aphids, thrips, fungus gnats, whitefly, and leafminers are all common pests that can attack galaxy flowers. A professional pest control service can help prevent bug infestations and improve plant health.

Our team aims at investigating the complex processes leading to theformation and evolution of galaxies, galaxy systems, andsupermassive black holes in a cosmological framework. To thispurpose, we develop physical models to interpret and understand theastrophysics of galaxies and black holes across cosmic times, exploiting their emission over the whole electromagnetic spectrum and in gravitational waves. We are also strongly focused on the theoretical development of novel cosmological modelsand on the analysis of small- and large-scale structure datato help understanding the fundamental nature of dark matter, dark energy, and gravity.

Stellar evolution keeps a unique role for deciphering the visible properties of the universe, from the solar neighborhoods to the primeval galaxies. A new Renaissance for the stellar structure theory is approaching, due to the challenging results of asteroseismology, that are disclosing the invisible star's secrets, and to the beginning of the multi-messenger astronomy with the detection of gravitational waves from merging compact stellar remnants and their follow-ups.

Galaxy clusters are the most recent and largest collapsed objects in theuniverse. Their formation and evolution rate is a strong function of thebackground cosmology, thus making galaxy clusters useful probesto constrain cosmological models. The formation of a galaxy cluster is a complex non-linearphenomenon which involves many physical aspects such as gravity which drivesthe collapse, the hydrodynamic of the baryons which are shock heated to virialtemperatures by the processes of accretion and merging of substructures. Additionally, the gas can cool radiatively and subsequently form stars whichin turn will return energy and metals to the gas through supernovae explosions. At virial equilibrium most of the baryons in the cluster will reside in theform of a hot X-ray emitting gas, which is commonly referred toas the intracluster medium (ICM).To follow in a self-consistent manner the complex hydrodynamicalflows that take place during the evolution of the ICMit is then necessary the use of N-body/hydrodynamic codes. To this end,a Lagrangian state-of-the art parallel SPH code has been developed overthe years and then applied to the study of a number of problems, suchas the impact of turbulence in the ICM.Turbulent motions are expected to affect ICM properties in avariety of ways. For instance, the accuracy of cosmological constraintsextracted from galaxy clusters relies on accurate measurementsof their gravitating mass. X-ray estimates of cluster massesare based on the assumption of spherical symmetry and hydrostatic equilibrium. However, turbulent motions will provide additional non-thermalpressure support which will bias the hydrostatic equilibrium assumption.Additionally, non-thermal pressure support also has a significant effecton the shape and amplitude of the thermal SZ power spectrum. Finally, turbulence in the ICM has been also proposed as a possibleheating source to solve the so-called cooling flow problem.Recently, the code has been applied to study the the effects of cluster merging on the thermodynamic structure of the intracluster gas of the final merger remnant. In particular, we studied how core entropy is generated during the merging and the stability properties of the initial cool-core profile against disruption. For adiabatic merging simulations, we find that the initial cool-cores are disrupted for all of the initial merging setups. For radiative simulations, cool-cores are more resilient against heating processes; none the less, they are able to maintain their integrity only in the case of off-axis mergers large mass ratios.
