Workshops will be led by expert aquatic ecologists and crayfish professionals. Participants will learn:
How to identify high-priority crayfish species through hands-on activities
Crayfish introduction pathways and regulations
State-specific reporting lines and rapid response efforts
Common crayfish sampling techniques, with the option to practice in the field at a nearby waterbody
Each of the four workshops is designed to bring together participants from two neighboring states: (1) New York and Pennsylvania, (2) Illinois and Indiana, (3) Michigan and Ohio, and (4) Minnesota and Wisconsin.
