Hello and apologies for any cross-postings,
Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant is conducting a survey to understand what conservation officers in the Great Lakes region need to effectively identify and communicate about invasive and regulated crayfish. The information gathered will guide the development of practical resources and tools to strengthen enforcement of crayfish regulations and support the overall management of invasive crayfish across the region.
We are seeking input from state, provincial, local, tribal, and federal conservation officers involved in the enforcement of aquatic invasive species regulations within a Great Lakes jurisdiction (U.S. states: IL, IN, MI, MN, NY, OH, PA, WI; Canadian provinces: Ontario and Quebec). Please share this survey with your staff, enforcement partners, and any relevant listservs or networks that include Great Lakes conservation officers.
The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Participants may skip any questions, but more feedback will help us better support the law enforcement community. Survey results will be summarized and shared at a future Invasive Crayfish Collaborative meeting.
The survey will close on September 4.
Thank you in advance for your time and support! Please direct any questions to Natalia Szklaruk at
