Thedirections they give says to put the extension in "/Library/Application Support/Mozilla/Extensions/..." It is my understanding that Firefox extensions must be installed in the users' home folder which would be "/Users///Library/Application Support/Mozilla/Extensions/..." I could be wrong, but that is where I would start to try to figure this out. If it turns out that is the correct location, then distributing the file won't be as simple as making a .pkg and letting it install.

In this example, I am installing the Keeper Password Manager firefox extension. You can find the key by going into about:support within the Firefox address bar, and scroll down to Add-ons. To the right of each Add-on will be the ID - Keep in mind that you'll need to install the extension first in order for it to show up within about:support

At this time, HubSpot does not plan to build a Firefox plugin for HubSpot Sales because we are not able to bring a comparable experience to Firefox that we have for Gmail and Outlook. As we evaluate other enabling technologies like Google add-ons, we will revisit this idea in the future but for now we are not planning to build a Firefox plugin.

Thank you for your question. The Hubspot Sales extension only works with Google Chrome or Outlook, so there isn't currently a way to resolve the issue using Firefox. If you do want to use the extension, my best suggestion is to download Google Chrome and install the Hubspot Sales extension. You can keep using Firefox for browsing the web, and reserve Google Chrome for the sole purpose of Hubspot Sales.

How could you not have a FireFox extension? I just switched over to FireFox because Chrome is a memory hog on my Mac and discovered that HubSpot doesn't work with it. I use the hubSpot extension with my business email, which I'm in all the time. It doesn't make sense to switch to another browser to go to other sites when I'm already in one for the email. It would still be using up memory and defeating the purpose. Please develop a FireFox extension. thank you.

That is quite a bit to ask users to use a different browser to have access to hubspot's resources. I have heard there are other companies that allow for the same email tracking without having to use a specific browser. Being a program for sales, one would think that Hubspot would be good at catering to their clients by meeting them where they are comfortable. I'm disappointed to say the least. I am going to download Chrome, but I'm not happy about it, and I'm sure there are many people who turn away from Hubspot services for having a preference for firefox. I can only think that Hubspot is falling short in regards to the ability and leadership of the company, to leave out such a large segment of firefox users. It would be hard to imagine that there is any good reason to do so, and even if there was, innovation is a part of a successful company. I will use Hubspot on Chrome for now until I find something better.

FWIW, the world of browsers is changing and FF is posed to gain a lot of users from v 57 onwards. I'm very concious about privacy, and FF is the only choice there really. The API for webExtensions is very close to chrome now, so it should not take a good dev more than a day or two to port it.

Now that the new Firefox versio is out I really hope HS will start acknowleding that Chrome isn't the only (nor the best) browser out there and give us a sales extension plugin that works with FF too.

Yep, this is sad. C'mon HubSpot, get with the game. Look right now, any of you have more than 10 tabs open. If so, Chrome has sucked all your memory. Not so with Firefox. Most of us deal with this daily and so Firefox is a good solution. I thought Hubspot was about making our lives easier; so let's see that extension. Please.

Like above, I've moved away from Chrome for both privacy and performance. I don't want to download Chrome ... so I guess I'll just give up on Hubspot since it looks like they're not really interested in making a FF extension.

Would love this. Was a long time Chrome user, but have switched over to FF because Chrome just eats up too much of my memory, especially after the latest updates. Is there still no solution for this? I know FF marketshare is declining, but still one of the top browsers worldwide.

You have to copy your default browser profile (dont copy storage it contain ur temporary files etc) (type about:profiles on firefox to find the folder) To the one that are used when Pip open Firefox : (type in the file explorer : %localappdata%\uipath\Pip Browser Profiles )

It worked for me

So I finally managed to get it working after a lot of trial and error. The Auth0Chrome library will work with Firefox since they both support the launchWebAuthFlow method. The tricky part was configuring the Auth0 origin and callback url settings. For the Allowed Origin, you need to input the firefox manifest url which you can find in the Firefox add-on settings. It will look something like this:

I have Windows 10 22H2, OS build 19045.3693

Firefox version: 118.0.2 (64-bit)

Enpass app version: 6.92.1562.0 downloaded from Microsoft Store

Enpass firefox extension version: 6.9.2

About a week ago , every time i am trying to use Enpass extension in Firefox , to sign in to a website ,i got the message:

"Update Required.Extension is unable to connect with Enpass. You are using an older version of Enpass. The extension requires Enpass version 6.0.0 or later be installed first..Update Now"

Then I press the " Update now" button and go to the Enpass downloads page : , to download the extension again, while the extension already exists in my Firefox browser. After that extension works fine , but i must repeat that action every time i open Firefox browser.

I dont have any issue with Chrome or Edge.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled ,both app and extension but no result.

Please tell me what to do to fix this problem.

Thank you.

I had to face this issue yesterday for the first time aswell. Same software versions, besides me using Win 11 23H2. A quick restart of the browser fixed it at that point, but your post suggests, there is more going on.

Following a comprehensive examination of this matter, we wish to apprise you that we were able to replicate the issue. Regrettably, it seems there is no immediate solution for the reported concern. In light of this, we suggest employing the workaround outlined by our specialist team below. Additionally, Enpass has assigned a high priority to address this issue and is actively working towards a swift resolution. We value your support and patience.

It appears that the challenge you're encountering differs from the topic under discussion in this forum. Please consider trying the following steps, as they are likely to be beneficial in addressing your specific situation -

I'm having a problem with the Enpass extension for Firefox running on SuSE Linux (Tumbleweed). Since one of the latest updates (either FF or Enpass) I always get the message that an update to Enpass is required when trying to login to a web site using the extension.

I had the same issue. Then I've noticed that for some reason on my PC both the Enpass Password Manager and the Enpass app for Windows were installed. I removed the app for Windows and voil problem fixed!

Note that I am having the same issue on Linux PopOS 22.04. Initially I thought I had to reinstall the enpass and extension, but I have done that 3x already and the issue did not go away. One workaround so far is to make sure tha the enpass desktop is unlock and then disable the extension in firefox and then re-enable it. This seems to fix the issue temporary.

I appreciate your patience over this issue. As informed by the Enpass Technical team, we have released a fix for this case over the new Enpass Browser Extension 6.9.4 Firefox. I request you to please give it a try and provide your feedback.

The UUID after moz-extension is unique per Firefox profile. I tried searching for scripts/uninterrupt.js which found -extension-manifests-dataset/blob/89e366efc48a4eb644bf7d37ba1f916e65297f2a/manifests/mjopeoajpfbfbflifdnhpjnijpiefael.json. Looks like a Chrome extension, but maybe there is a Firefox version somewhere.

it was first thing to try, and it's inaccessible this way because of security mechanisms (XPCNativeWrapper). i've read about accessing it trough wrappedJSObject and using events (adding listener to document and dispatching event from extension), but no luck. didn't try too hard, though. so, before i dig deeper ('events method' sounds like a way to go) i'd like to know is this even possible?

Yes, accessing a JS variable in content is and always was possible. Doing this the naive way wasn't safe (in the sense that a malicious web page could get chrome privileges) in older Firefox versions.

This was unsafe prior to Firefox 3. In Firefox 3 and later it is OK to use, you get another kind of wrapper (XPCSafeJSObjectWrapper), which looks the same as the object from the content page to your code, but ensures the content page won't be able to do anything malicious.
