I'm stunned but thrilled. I need call recording for work (and to catch my brother in his stupid lies), so I was bummed when Google discontinued it. I kept ACR on my S9+ and could only use it with the speaker on, which wasn't optimal (especially in public). I just set up my Note 10+ and ACR repopulated through SmartSwitch. I haven't looked at it until now and I assumed the recordings would only have my voice. WRONG! It works perfectly like before and now all is right with the world. Happy Birthday to Me!
Hi, I was SO pleased to see GrapheneOS now includes a call recorder. I can finally get rid of horrible spammy call recorder apps! It took me months, testing over 12 of them, to find one that worked (CubeACR) and it recorded all calls automatically except friends and family. It was great, functionally speaking, but I never liked having it on my phone, but it's essential I record calls.
Graphene's recorder is superior in sound quality, and works via speaker or bluetooth which NO other app I have tried does! It's fantastic. There is one way to make it a smidgen better, that's to record calls automatically. Is there any plan to make this possible at any point?
yourmother It is a button in the in-call UI when making phone calls with the default phone app. For most users it is one of the 6 buttons shown. In case it is not for you, swipe up from the middle of the screen, and then the call record button will be shown.

treequell for some reason mine has the RTT button listed in the 6 icons, so I always have to scroll down to see the call recorder option. Even though RTT is completely disabled, I have no way to make the damn button for it go away.
Call recording still doesn't work for me yet although when I make a call three way the option will show up. Or if I use Cheogram number then the option is displayed. Hopefully with an automatic call record option it will work in the future for all me calls
I mean the built-in functionality of recording calls in Sailfish OS 4.0.1.45/48
I have active it in Settings > Apps > Phone and when calling a actived
a notification comme that a call was recorded but no file!
Am i wrong, or did Jolla communicate lately, that call recording will just work anymore with system own functions. I guess maybe of security reasons as russian authorities will be using the system, or also because of privacy reasons with the european legislation. You can enable call recording in the developper options, did you try?
I have Call Recorder ACR app on my mobile phone. I've linked to Dropbox to store my phone recordings. They appear in Dropbox after each call but I can't get them to play on Windows Media Play although it supposedly supports 3GP and MP4, both of which I've tried. Any suggestions?
Hmm, please keep in mind that in Germany and probably in most european countries it is illegal to record a call. Exceptions are companies which tell you in advance about this issue, usually offer an opt-in (but opt-out is also legal if it is possible to opt-out prior to the recording).
Ok, thanks. But I would be very careful with such acts and use it only for calls where both parties live and stay in countries where it is explicitely allowed. In Germany such an act is not just illegal, but a major crime.
The Call Recorder Single II records analog audio and is designed to be connected to just about every model of telephone to record. It can record from analog phones, from digital phones or from a microphone. Recording from digital phones is done by connecting the recorder between the phone and the handset, to record analog audio from that source.
The Single II is easy to connect and has an almost unlimited recording capacity. With its network connectivity and proven reliability the Call Recorder Single II is the ideal solution for recording a single telephone, radio station or other audio source. Recordings can be started and stopped manually or automatically, and can be safeguarded against unauthorised playback with a password or the optional CryptoCard set.
HD 9900
The Call Recorder Single HD9900 is a recorder that saves up to 20.700 hours of recording time. The main advantage is the enormous recording capacity, sufficient for a number of years. The Call Recorder HD 9900 can also be supplied with an SD card option and archiving software. With its large internal storage capacity, network connection and SD card, this recorder can be used for almost any application.
Secure
The Call Recorder Single II is equipped with an IC Card reader. Using the CryptoCard, available as an option, the recordings can be encrypted. Without a corresponding CryptoCard and pin code the encrypted recordings cannot be played back. This is not only a professional way to protect the calls, but is especially useful to protect the privacy of the people involved.
Vidicode designs, develops and manufactures sophisticated communication solutions, such as digital telephone recorders, digital audio recorders, professional answering equipment, and network fax servers. In the past twenty years Vidicode has grown from a small local business to an international supplier of innovative and advanced communications solutions.
Voice Recorder is an app for recording lectures, conversations, and other sounds (previously called Sound Recorder). Hit the big Record button (1), and Add a marker (3) to identify key moments as you record or play (2). Then you can Trim (5), Rename (7), or Share your recordings (4), which are saved in Documents > Sound recordings. Select the Delete icon (6) to delete your recording, or See more (8) for more options.
Please note these issues are not caused by the call recorder, actually they are caused by bugs in the ROM, or caused by the manufacturer intentionally. Why intentionally? many reasons, for example requirement from mobile operators, local laws, regulations etc. This is the reason why you tried more than 50 call recorders but no one worked.
We are very proud our innovated solutions have helped numberless android users to avoid rooting their phones to get good call recordings. Later some other call recorders "invented" the same solutions, but it seems they don't really know the details, as a result their record engines are not reliable, you will find "sometimes in the recording the caller's voice is weak". However this app works great, the record engine is very reliable, recorded calls are loud and clear in both sides.
Once again, for the first time in the world, we invented the new solution to perfectly record calls without root for Galaxy S9 in all countries (both Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 chipsets are supported), please update Boldbeast Recorder to V11.1 or a newer version.
At this moment all Android 8.1, 8.0, 7.1, 7.0, 6.0, 5.1, 5.0 phones in all countries record calls very well without root, except for several phones like Pixel 2, 1, Nexus 6P, 6, 5X, 5, 4, Moto G4, G2 etc (they need root). Now many users have upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie, please be noticed:
Click the start recording button to start recording the call when you and your guests are ready. The audio WILL NOT automatically start recording now upon entering the call/studio. Remember to press record when you and your guests are ready
I am using call queues where extensions may be rang and not answer before moving on to the next extension in line. The system is logging a recording for these 0 second calls which are showing up in the call recording reports which is making it hard to find legitimate call recordings.
I was very tired when making a call recording application for Android.I know the official Android SDK has not allowed using VOICE_CALL. So my recording is based entirely on the MIC source.I tried the Android NDK but I also fell into a deadlock.Someone, please give me away. If you have the source code, it's great. Thank you very much!
Android has officially blocked the SDK method since Marshmallow. After that a work around was introduced with the NDK to solve the problem. This seemed to work in android 6, 7 and 8. The NDK based approach is also blocked in Pie. So technically it is impossible to record calls.Source
Let all parties know they are being recorded. If any party says they do not consent to the recording, you will have to turn the recording off or end the call. Otherwise, the call cannot be legally used for any purpose.
Notta will transcribe your phone call to text in real-time. You'll have the audio of the call in high quality as well. Notta will even generate transcriptions for individual voices. This allows you to transcribe multiple people at once.
Like the other apps mentioned here, it's easy to set up and get to recording. The sound quality on the other end of the call may vary. You may want to play with the settings and do a few test calls before using it for something important.
You can also use Google Voice to switch phones during a call. If you press * (Star) any phones connected to Google Voice will ring. When you answer the chosen device the other ones will stop ringing. The call will then be transferred to the new device.
Google Voice is one of the least invasive ways to record phone calls. You won't have to grant a bunch of permissions to a 3rd party app. The person on the other side of the phone will be alerted that they are being recorded. Turning the recording on and off is simple and there are tons of features to manage your recordings.
It's free, it has decent audio quality, and you don't need to worry about turning record on and off. You can listen to recorded calls as soon as they're done. Recordings are stored under My Recordings for easy access.
It also can record audio notes, lectures, meetings, and interviews. It will place a record button on your screen at the start of every call. Once you press the button, it will record until you press it again.
