I'm asking cause I'm curious about this scripting thing and possibility of shortcuts to external commands with redirecting output to bottom panel or something (just possibility to send output to bottom panel, doesn't matter how).

It still doesn't remember my tab spacing. Quite annoying...

@Lamonte: I have that on top of my list now.

@Wojciech: Scripting is planned for 1.1 and one of the first APIs for that will be the Process API that will allow just that. We're also considering having a simpler method to achieve similar thing (without JS).
