We plan to make the search as a separate taskon bakhround. That will result in much faster UI responses.

Also doment memory format will change as it is also causing some performance problems with edits on multiple distant offsets.

I think you should make the find and replace feature more powerful like something similar to what UltraEdit has. I had a 30 mega byte .SQL file that needed some find and replace and intype just kept freezing up. I had to download an alternative to get the job done.
