NBA2k11 is widely regarded as one of, if not THE best NBA 2k games ever made. But that seems to beg the question why, and how, has it stood the test of time when others have just been kind of forgettable.

Once you completed the Jordan challenge it unlocked another mode called Creating A Legend. This was by far my favourite part of 2k11 because you played in the style of mycareer, but took a rookie MJ and put him into any team you wanted to try and create your own MJ Dynasty. You could choose a lower-table team like the Raptors and prove you could win the finals by yourself, something that LeBron has never done. Or you could finally see what it would look like to pair up MJ with Lebron, and watch how every team crumbles before you. All in all, this feature was simply amazing, purely because it gave everyone the feeling of what it was, to be like Mike.

I've got to say, for me they are the same game Offline. The only change I like is the "My Player". But not going to spend 60 bucks to play just that mode. I really enjoy 11. I even think the graphics are better in 11.

Right now i would have to say 2k12 based on gameplay the way you can shoot different ways now is really creative and i like it myplayer so far kinda sucks. In the beginning i heard you can buy skill points i said thats great but 7500 skill points for 7.43 million maybe its because its early but thats sucks im gonna have to play two seasons just to be able to buy that. The drills in myplayer are fun knockout i used to play that all the time with my friends and its fun to play in 2k i just wish they would play a couple of rounds. instead you play one time and your out.

So far i love 2K12 I traded in 2K11 for the discount on the newer game.I wasnt gonna finish 2k11 and then jump on 2k12 an be behinde the ball. Its not like they rewrote the whole game but they fixed somethings and i think added more play abilty (long term) to it. My problem i dont have any friends to play with on here.... randoms are ALWAYS assholes...oh well:confused:

It's actually kind of easy to get an A+, but in order to do so, you have to completely sacrifice the win. Basically, every time on defence, just keep calling for the double team which will boost your teammate rating when it's successful. Problem is, it leaves a guy wide open and they'll probably capitalize on it.

In that case, then yea, it's 100x tougher in 2K12 than in 2K11 to do everything. Playing conservatively, I can secure the win, but my teammate grade is no where near A+. It doesn't help that when you get to the A- range, your grade climbs at the rate of a snail. Also, they really reduced the bonus given for rebounding.

To the same token, you could get a bunch of "Good Shot Selection" for bricking threes and have the other team annihilate you on defence for Double Teams to get the A+ rating, but then you end up losing... ugh.

I've found it fairly easy to get A+s after understanding how to play 2k12. I'm a PG with about 70 pass, 75 ball security, 75 3-ball and 85 mid range. I let the computer call most of the plays (if fields or gordon get on fire, i've got good plays for them i'll call), but I do what the diagrams say. I only take WIDE open shots, usually averaging maybe 12-15 shots a game. I try to crash every rebound i can, usually pulling down 3-4 a game. Also, i aim to get about 6-8 assists per game. If somebody goes for a layup, i'll crash into the paint, jump, and usually get a good shot defense. If anybody has the ball in a corner, or has the ball with the shot clock at 5 seconds, i'll double team for the bonus. With the defensive bonuses, as well as about 16 points, 7 assist, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block, you'll almost always have an A+

Ok - it is official I do prefer NBA 12 over 11. I still like 11 because of all the Jordan content and Bulls roster yes I'm a BULLS fan and will never trade it in. But I need 12! The my player mode is down right addicting!

With no serious squad changes (they even didn't include rookies) 2k shoud much improve gameplay, but they didn't. Game still looks and plays the same as it was year ago. New legends mode boring for me, my player mode's new features are all cosmetic. 2K even made same achivements again (like Durant's new scoring record). 2k12 should be update for 2k11, not the separate game.

I rented 2K12 and after about two weeks, the only thing I like better between the two games is this year's My Player. I really enjoy playing that mode. LOL I would almost buy 12 just for that reason. But with about 5 more games coming out in the next two months that I will buy ... it must wait.
