Familia,

I sincerely hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer heat. (I am to a degree; Texas has been in Dragon's Lair mode lately). Anyway, the summer is fast escaping us, so I wanted to make contact and let you know where we are on a few things and also to get your ideas.

  1. As you know, we have been slated to go to LA. Well, there's a little kink in the chain. Keisha Shelton, the contact who offered us the opportunity, has left Foxxhole Ent. I'm assuming it was on good terms, but now she won't actually be on the inside to book us. She's offered (when we finish a project or something) to call the appropriate people and still get us booked though, so that's encouraging. We need to look at how realistic it is for us to finish a sampler (4-5 songs) by the middle of July in hopes of getting an LA date in August. Let me know what y'all think.
As my professor always says: "HOWEVER, INNNNNNNN the alternative..."

  1. I was thinking that it'd be dope to put together a small East-coast tour in the first two weeks of August. I know it's not LA, but hear me out. First, we've been asked to come back to the Pittsburgh Black Family Reunion. This year, I'm going to push Martell to let us be either the headliner on Saturday or the opening act for the bigger of the two headliners. People really loved us last year, so we've already got a strong base of support to build off of. The Pgh Black Family Reunion is August 6-7.
  2. As for the other possible dates, I was thinking we could do: (a) A show (maybe with HowHood Music) in Philly; (b) A show (or two) in NYC (maybe with Jahmed/the Wild Afrikan fam); (c) A show in Baltimore; (d) A show or two in DC; and (e) A show or two in the Carolinas.
  3. If you have people in any of these spots (or suggestions for better cities to try and hit), please let the group know. I know cats will be going back to school and resuming life in earnest in August, so my intention is to have our tour be from like August 3-12 or something like that. Just kinda hit it all in one fowl swoop.
  4. In the planning, let's not trip about money/practicality/etc; let's figure out what we'd LIKE to do and then figure out HOW to do it!
Otherwise, I know all of you are blessed and prosperous and I can't wait to see all of you soon. Hit me (512) 431-9810 with any questions.

Yo,
Peace to my enstranged and seldom seen, but still loved fam.  Unfortunately, I dont know if Im going to make it home this summer. I slipped up and bought a one way ticket out here and I still havent started playing so I dont have no funds to get back right now. If I dont have a contract before august, then Ill be home then, but it would be mid to end august.  Im not sure right now.
I know its not the same but if yall do manage to record yall can just send the tracks. We gonna do.  Dead ass.
