Hi everyone

Please excuse this commercial interruption...

I have a set of wheels for sale that I thought may interest some folks on the list.

These are 700c handbuilt 36 spoke clinchers.

The hubs are Suntour Superbes. Perfect condition - *PERFECT*

If you're not familiar with Suntour, Superbes are equivalent to similar vintage Shimano Dura Ace or Campagnolo Record.

I haven't identified the rims but they look like or similar to Wolber Super Champion 58s. They are *polished* silver, not flat anodized... Rounded Box profile with eyelets. Very true and round. I'd rate the front an 9.5/10 and the rear 8.5/10. Even under the rim strip is clean with no tarnishing. I don't think these wheels have seen rain. Brake track is NOT worn, there are some brake marks but should clean easily. No dents or nicks.

Stainless spokes in very good condition - no nicks or oxidizing.

Note: the rear hub is a FREEWHEEL hub, not a cassette and it is spaced to 126. It currently has a 6 speed Suntour freewheel. I have a 7 speed freewheel and maybe a Sachs 8 speed freewheel, but I'll have to check. I don't have a freewheel puller, but Byron or Charlie may have one.

Includes the correct Suntour quick release skewers.

These are very very nice wheels but don't fit with any of my current bike plans. They would make a very nice addition to any classic bike, especially if you're using Friction shifting. (have compatible parts if needed). A little soap and water and they will look new.

I'd like $100 for the pair and I can deliver to the ride start tomorrow (or make other arrangements).

I have some other Suntour Superbe parts (complete drivetrain, brakes, barend shifters) also.

Thanks for reading.
