March Codenight is this Thursday

Hi Everyone,
We have a very cool presentation lined up for Codenight this Thursday.
Darren McIntosh (along with a special guest from the UK, the Verizon industry lead) will be giving us a talk on Private 5G and multi-access edge compute (MEC)

- Industry 4.0 and the art of the possible

- How 5G changes everything

- Some examples from different verticals

I am very excited about this as I do believe that 5G will change everything and, oh boy, do I have plans...

I'm also very happy to add that this month we will be running the Codenight presentation both on site and virtually. Now, there may be some teething issues getting this going so please be patient. You may find that the session may not start right at 5, and we may run into some audio issues, but we will do our best to have everything going without too much delay.

We have a very cool presentation lined up for Codenight this Thursday.

Dr. Steven Harvey from Health Physics, and a lecturer at University of Wollongong, will be giving us a talk on 3D printing in the Health and Medical Sector. Some possible talking points Steve may cover include :-

+ 3D printing in medicine - conventional thinking

+ 3D printing in medical simulation - my experience

+ CT scanning technology

+ DICOM format

+ 3D modelling formats

+ DICOM, CAD  and 3D printing - a perfect combination

+ CT -> 3D printed model conversion process and demo

+ Sources of 3D data

+ Software

It’s gonna be terrific!!!

Although we did Zoom ‘live’ from Code Night last month we won’t on this occasion - Soz :-). We anticipate getting that back for the May Code Night.
