Thispost is close to my question, but not quite the same. What I'm trying to find out is, if I'm running an application and want to change which device it's using for audio output without quitting the application, is that possible?
Sometimes, my Bluetooth headset shows up as connected even when it's not -- I blame the device, and that's not my biggest current concern. The problem is, sometimes I'll start something that needs audio output -- a video chat, game, etc -- and it will start routing to this non-existent bluetooth device, rather than my speakers. I'd like to be able to fix this without quitting the video call, restarting the game, etc, but as far as I can tell changing the default audio device doesn't change the output being used by already-running programs. Is there another way to "change horses midstream" that I'm missing?
If you haven't launched the app in question yet, you can left-click the speaker icon as you would to change the volume, then look just above the volume slider. The name of the current default output device is there, and if you click it you will be given a list of other output devices, where selecting one will change the default.
In Windows, Audio Output is software defined. Each software that wants to output audio to a different output device needs to implement this feature itself. Depending on how well the programm is coded, you'll have to restart the application for the changes to take effect.
I set it as the default sound/mic device and when I want to switch from my headset to my speakers, I just unplug the 3.5mm headset jack and plug in the speakers. No more restarting my game when I switch from playing solo on speakers to joining my friend's party and using a headset.
Activation Devices are items that can be found in the Great Red Sand, Sumeru. They are used during the Hidden Exploration Objective Chessboard of Safhe Shatranj to activate the Chess Pieces located in Safhe Shatranj.
All activation devices can be found floating in the air at the place the chess piece represents. Activation Device: Deshret's Glass Goblet and Activation Device: The Mausoleum of King Deshret are only obtainable after the completion of the first step in Memories of Gurabad. After chasing each Activation Device, they appear at the icon on the minimap.
Acquiring the Energy Storage Device and unlocking the Research Terminal is part of the An Eye for An Eye Quest in Genshin Impact. Players must collect three Energy Storage Devices and use them on three different Terminals to remove the barriers blocking the Research Terminal.
The step is quite simple and easy to follow as the Research Terminals are marked on the map in Genshin Impact. However, players must be careful of the Flying Energy Thief as it will steal the energy from the device, making it useless.
Upon breaking free from the Abandoned Production Area in Genshin Impact and distracting the guards successfully, the group will arrive at Geode Mine Shaft. There are three barriers that players can remove in a specific order, which are right, left, and then the one in the middle.
First, approach one of the Energy Storage Devices and press Pick Up. Quickly run straight ahead then turn right. Go left to grab the Mysterious Ore quickly then continue to the right side and place the storage device next to the first Deactivated Research Terminal.
Next, go back to the first location, where Caterpillar is standing, and pick up the following Energy Storage Device. Like the previous one, sprint straight ahead then make a sharp turn left to find the second Deactivated Research Terminal. This spot is a bit difficult since the Energy Flying Thief is patrolling the area more thoroughly in Genshin Impact. So, if players encounter one of them, try to circle around the area to lose the thief.
Finally, go back to the initial location and grab the third Energy Storage Device in Genshin Impact. Simply go straight and turn left at the end to find the third Deactivated Research Terminal.
I've been playing for almost a week now, and I can't get past the initial cinematics on the Duviri Paradox Quest because it keeps popping up the "Device memory is low. You have been logged out to prevent a crash" either in the middle of the cutscene or right after you confirm your character customization. It doesn't matter if I skip the cutscenes or leave it be, it still crashes so I can't enter that world. I play on an iPad 10.2 9th Gen, with no apps opened on the background and with over 60GB of space, so I don't think the memory is the problem. Maybe the RAM could be an issue, but other heavy mobile games like Diablo, Genshin, ToF can run smoothly so i don't see why Warframe can't. I've also lowered my graphics and everything possible so the game can run more easily, but it seems like it's not working. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with that problem, but either way I've already opened a ticket with my logs and a screenshot attached to it, but I haven't gotten a reply yet. Is there someone who can help me out here please? I'd really appreciate it.
Hi Tenno, in this instance, "device memory" does not refer to how much storage space is left for Apps & Files but your random-access memory (RAM). This means storage for information that needs to be used quickly, like information for loading a large landscape. The iPad Mini 10.2 9th Gen has 3GB SDRAM for Memory, which is relatively low on the grand scheme of iPhone and iPad devices.
Last week we added the warning you mentioned before players enter landscapes such as Duviri, Cambion Drift, and Orb Vallis. If you dismiss the warning, you can still enter the area, but it is possible that performance will suffer and crashes are possible (which you reported).
Hi! Thank you for replying. I've seen that warning when I enter directly to Plains of Eidolon, and in that instance I can dismiss the warning and keep playing, but in this case, it is not a "warning" because I can't dismiss it, it automatically kicks me out to the main screen and then the message appears. My point is I can't enter Duviri because I can't complete the first quest, and I can't dismiss the warning you mentioned because it doesn't appear that one. Its sad to see that my iPad has low RAM, but if I can access other landscapes, I don't see why it only forces me out on Duviri. Is there any other way I can enter Duviri without having to play all the cutscenes? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for sharing this -- I'll relay the differences and the confusion to the team involved with how that in-game warning works. To clarify, when going to Duviri, do you mean you get the warning before entering AND after getting kicked? or ONLY after getting kicked?
As for why you are being pulled out of one Landscape and not the other, each one of these has varying size and technical scope. For instance, Plains of Eidolon was developed in 2017, whereas Duviri was developed in 2022 and released in 2023. With a roughly five year difference, the Duviri landscape is a lot more technically ambitious with its visuals and under the hood elements. As a result, a device with a lower memory (again not memory as in overall app & file storage) could have an easier time running a 2017 landscape compared to running a 2023 landscape that uses the latest tech.
As for your question, the warning appears only after getting kicked out of the quest/cinematic. I've attached two short videos and a screenshot so you can see exactly what happens. In one video it kicks me out in the second cinematic, and in the second it kicks me when I reach the customization character screen. It can also happen in the cinematic where you are killed with a sword and the other one where a hand appears out of the ground and attaches to your hand. I've never been able to get past all the cinematics and start controlling the player.
