In light of the fact that there were several interruptions of classes,
I am announcing the following schedule:
August 9 - continuation of lecture on poverty and development (start
scheduling your finals at the end of the class)
August 12 - class debate
August 16, 19, 23 - Final Oral Exam (based on date and time slot you
choose)
For those seeking to make up for their midterms, you must attain more
than 14 recitation points. Any points beyond 14 will be credited
directly to your midterm exam.
As for the class debate, which comprises 10% of your grade, each side
will be given a score in a percentage of 100. You will be graded as a
team, and will be graded for both content and style. Your team
captains will list all the members of each team, and if they all
participated. It is your responsibility to inform your team captain
that you are a member, and to determine your role. No participation,
no individual grade.
If your team wins, you will get a bonus of 10 points over your team's
existing score. Any points over 100 will again be added to the midterm
exam grade.
See you tomorrow.
