Dear players,

 

I’ve been quite active in the Intershenzhen organization over the past years.

I put a lot energy and it’s been few months I’m not that involved anymore, I’m tired and I’m just not doing well so it’s time for change, I’m officially not taking any decisions for the club anymore.

Tansel and Tim will announce their take-over, they will be happy to see anybody who is willing to help talk to them, I’m personally happy and confident they will do a great job and we should encourage them.

 

We’ve been together with Intershenzhen trying many things: from a regular expats meet up to a formal club, with team assistant, coach, material (inventory list), members fees, clear accounting, regular training, formal league to even sponsored events…and my statement today is that if this would had to continue this should be with the involvement of an entire community rather than a one-man-show that is donating his energy for a 2-3 years time. As you know a social community should be driven at the rhythm of its members.

 

Just bear in mind: there is a Celt team, an Algerian team, a Spanish team, a Korean team, a Latino team, a German team, a team playing regularly 5-asides in Nanshan, another team playing 3 times a week in Futian, there is Intershenzhen FC…

With all those foreigners in Shenzhen do you guys still believe we should stay unorganized, spread over the city and play Chinese teams ?

From our experience, Chinese team just wouldn’t work, the cultural gap, be it from either way, is just too big and cannot be controlled on the pitch, Intershenzhen already withdrew from its second league back in Sept 2010.

Be rational, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou have their own league, they didn’t succeed in Chinese league neither, we can do the same thing and setup our own expat league.

This is a call to all the expats football players in Shenzhen who wish to build this future league, it’s not to 1 person, nor to 1 team, it should be the concern of every foreigners who want to enjoy a better football in this city to try to gather and build up, especially that Xmas and CNY are coming and there will be a 3 months gap as every year.

don't regret anything, you did a really good job and I saw big improvements at many levels in 2 years. I can guess you are now tired and you are totally right when you are speaking about the community responsibility in the organisation.

Fabien, of course your input is welcome as is everyone else's - it says you want to stay involved.   As for me and my role I want to say Tansel and I never sat down to discuss it.  He just asked if I would help him out and I said ok.  I dont see myself as "Assistant Manager" - I aint his bitch, ha ha,  But since someone actually wants to kickstart this again then I will certainly help out.  The way things were going I just wasn't getting my football each week.  In the end that's all we want right?  I have my own opinions on how to do this and perhaps I am the right guy to balance out Tansel's personality.  In fairness I think his strong personality is just to get things working again.  Yesterday's game was fun and is how things should go.  I agree with the others that much of the bickering came as a result of trying to fit into a league we were never going to fit in with.  Now that shit is over and we can organize games and enjoy it.   See you on the pitch.   Tim     --- On Mon, 12/6/10, So 6 <so.c...@gmail.com> wrote:

Dear Mihran,

thank you for all you did in the past 3 years for Inter Shenzhen!! Your passion and drive were only matched by your drive and ambition to put this team to a higher level. Unfortunately - like all great ideas - the timing was perhaps not that great. Shenzhen as a footballing city needs at least another 5-10 years till it can develop certain structures to accommodate a guailo football team like those in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing. Nevertheless it was all worth the try and you indeed put a tremendous energy into this.

Its only human that after a certain point where disappointment kicks in over the football reality here in Shenzhen, that fatigue brings down even the most passionate and motivated man, like it happened to you. So after all we all thank you for your heart and blood giving into this team!

The more I am personally disappointed once again that just a handful of die-hard characters within our group did actually find some nice words for you to express their gratitude towards the things you have done for THEM! It doesn't matter the outcome as long as someone tries with his heart to make a change, and you did that. And that makes you special amongst all of us!

Saying this I officially welcome Tim as the new heir and crown prince of Inter Shenzhen heheheheh. Dear friend you got all what it needs to be the ruler of the universe, you got maturity, skills and passion on and off the pitch, loyality and heart. Nothing more needs to be said about you than wishing you strength and good fortunue during your build up and later on leadership of Inter Shenzhen!

Because I will only do this for a intermediate time only to reorganize the structures and adjust according to the realities here in Shenzhen. Same as Matthieu we will remain in the inner management to assist and look after Inter Shenzhen like we did for the last 10 years guys!

I want to cut things short here as we have more pressing issues on hand right now guys. I will come back later to you on how to develop from this point on and what we are going to do, but first things first: WE NEED YOU ALL TO COME BACK AND SHOW SOME EFFORT AND COMMITMENT GUYS!!

My first goal will be to regain and retain at least 14-16 players for each training session. Once we have this base then we will work from that time on but first we need you all to come back guys.

Coming Wednesday is TRAINING from 20.30 to 22.30 at the Futian TiYuguan like always, business as usual guys, nothing has changed!! Please reply very simply if you are IN, or OUT or MAYBE, that's all information we need from you guys, nothing more and nothing less in order to prepare and plan.

And then another word for our lovely girl Shelly. My dear you have done a great deal as well for Inter Shenzhen and still keep doing despite we do not have any financial means anymore to finance you Shelly since the last couple of month. The more amazing is that you kept and still keep coming and organizing at free will for Inter Shenzhen!! I herewith will put my word and weight that you will get reimbursed for the past at least Shelly, please do not worry about that. As to the future there won't be any immediate means and needs for any involvement of yours dear Shelly as there is no membership club structures nor league participation anymore. We will restructure and come back to basics, simplify everything and concentrate on maintaining the minimum requirements to run this team. Therefore Shelly we thank you gratefully for all you have done and we hope that we can bring Inter Shenzhen back again with the required numbers of committed players so that we can afford you and need you once again. Until then you will always be kept within the email list my dear as you are one of US. I will later contact with you regarding the details.

Ok guys, thats it for now, later i will post some of the restructure measurements, but i can say already that we will downsize all ambitions we had so far and come back to basics, which is stability, commitment, quality and fun.

Please show up on Wednesday and then after I will come back to you regarding the details. I need first to sit down with Tim and draft everything before we address you guys!

Guys, 

we will be enough tonight, i already counted more than 11 players and will bring additional 2 players with me. So it should be fine unless guys are dropping out again.

I realized that there is a Tuesday evening training venue held in Nanshan pitch by another team and that several of our guys are participating there. Of course I would never be pretentious to tell those payers to not go there anymore but when you do and then don't want to show up at our Wednesdays sessions guys then you should know that you do contribute for the downfall of Inter Shenzhen actively. So please give this a thought for a minute and decide from there on. in the end Inter Shenzhen did provide for most of you guys the football you needed for the last 10 years and you should not turn your backs so easily now, especially now! we need you, and all what Tim and me should put in place is again a team with quality, commitment and fun, thats our goals, nothing more and nothing less guys!

On another note, the googlegroups will cease very soon and we will go back to the old method of ME sending emails to everyone of you and not the entire group, and you will have to reply to ME only when required and not everyone of the group. That will delete the mass emails from your email account. 

If there is a need that you want to address everyone on the email list then of course, we are not a North Korean Gulag team, there is transparency and openness. I am working on the new email distributor list and once its done then I will send a copy to everyone and latest by then this googlegroups will be history!

Therefore I will collect from now on everyones Name, mobile number and email to complete this list. either you send it to me directly under tans...@googlemail.com or when you show up on the pitch. Who doesn't provide me his email is out, simply put. The www.intershenzhen.com website will be back on very soon as well, so there will be always a base to get informed and come back and be listed.

As to the finances, there is no membership scheme and no monies collected from anyone for anything, except the pitch and water fees on the spot, which we will divide by ALL participants. I will make lists and will make sure that EVERYONE pays guys!

in case there is some money needed for balls and stuff, the website hosting costs and to repay Shelly then I will collect a surcharge of 10 to max 20 rmb per every player to finance this. But the main financing of this team will be a rolling system on the spot. Lets keep it simple guys!

Guys, I am working now with Tim very hard to fulfill the minimum goal set which is to regain and retain a minimum of 14-16 quality players for each training session. And we need you all to be committed for that. Once there is a stable base again, we will go on and organize friendlies against guailo teams or very good chinese local teams. Don't worry about that, we did that in the past 10 years and there is no reason why we should not continue doing that.

There are other news in the making but be a little more patient. So, first things fist guys, come and show up tonight and Sunday and thereon please!

Another thing I can tell you already upfront is that I will make sure that Inter Shenzhen is all about football and nothing else, meaning that my goal is to provide the highest possible level of quality football and that therefore we will require a minimum set of footballing skills and commitment from the players. Once i see that those requirements are NOT met, then I will ask that player to not join us anymore. That will certainly break my heart but I have to do this in order to retain a high and balanced level where training and games are once again of good quality and provide therefore fun! Sacrificing those players should enhance the entire team, that is my believe. Inter Shenzhen is NOT a bar team or a drinking team, never was and never will be. There are many teams now around which they are, but not us. We have to provide this city with our team a quality product alternative, only that way we can make sure to hoover the best talents around in this town, otherwise we will dilute everything. I hope you understand my meaning!

Please  excuse my temper sometimes on the pitch, which is just showing my ambition trying to enhance everyone in this team and in the past mostly a reflection of the displeasure to play against chinese teams. On other occasions I behaved and will behave well hahahahah!

Thanks again for Mihran, Matthieu and Shelly! I do not understand why anyone would suggest that these guys won't be continuing hahahahah. We need them as much as we need all of you guys!

NO football training on this Sunday the 12th!

But training on Wednesday the 14th is definitely ON!!
(No need to reply to this post please as anyway training is confirmed
with the pitch management and we will be there.)

Last Wednesday we have been in total 11 players with 3 new players.
The game had good quality with some fine moves. Keep it up guys!

We still need at least 14-16 players on training sessions guys! Once
we achieve this we will take it from there on.
