InterSystems Cache Developer - £40k to £65k + benefits and bonus
Hitachi Consulting is currently investing in its Cloud Solutions Practice which is growing rapidly in the UK and Europe. As part of this, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Cache Developer to join us, based in the UK.
You will be working as part of an Application Support & Development team on a high-profile client Service helping to deliver a variety of Changes and small to medium size Projects. You will be willing to embrace Change and develop new skills as the Service may require. You will be willing to learn about the Service and the Application both functionally and technically. You will be able to think both tactically and strategically. You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team, whilst being self-motivated and driven to produce quality results.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be delivery focussed, using technology skills to solve business problems and enable tangible benefit.
The main areas of responsibility are:
Working as part of a Service team to design, develop and implement solutions using Intersystems Cache.
Providing occasional second line support, where required due to business need.
Qualifications
We hire professionals, passionate about the benefits technology can bring to business. Successful applicants should have worked across the full project lifecycle and will be adept at developing and programming using Intersystems Cache
Essential Skills:
Hands-on exposure to working and programming in an environment using Cache. Additional skills in the following are desirable: SQL, Microsoft Windows Microsoft Access and/or Crystal reports
Full life-cycle project experience, ideally from initial opportunity through to requirements specification (technical and functional), solution design, implementation and rollout
A demonstrable passion for technology and a wish to improve and innovate
Good communication & presentation skills for interaction with client and senior management. Also to communicate complex technical solutions to junior members and non-technical business people
Producing Release Notes for Client and maintaining required documentation
Proven history of Liaison with 3rd Parties and the Customer, including agreeing and documenting End User requirements
Unit Testing of Changes plus involvement in other required test cycles, such as system, regression, backwards compatibility and performance testing, including supporting the customer with UAT where required
Additional Desirable Skills:
Hands-on experience in VB6 Development, Database Design, Maintaining ODBC ‘views’, PACS HL7 and DICOM
Familiarity with software development methodologies and processes like Agile and/or SCRUM
Experience of working with service desk tool sets, such Service Now and with a working knowledge of ITIL Delivery methodologies
Previous experience of working within the Healthcare sector
Strong communication skills
This role will be based in Blackfriars, London.
