Are you looking for an experienced programmer or an introductory one?

"How long have you been programming in Cache?"
"What was the hardest routine you have written and how long did it take?"
"What was the most recent routine you wrote for and how log did it take?"
"What do you use for editing routines?"
"What is the difference between a function and a subroutine?"
"When was 60000?"
"If you don't know, how would you find out?"


If you want a Senior Programmer, give them a routine and see if they can quickly explain what it should be doing. (It'll help if there are globals to give them documentation and at least a few minutes to pour over the code).
