Hello Everybody

I have installed the Caché ODBC driver, configure the System DSN
connection using Caché Odbc Driver. I have create a new sources in
Cognos Connection to this new ODBC datasource and I'm able to test
successfully the connection. When I try to use Cognos FrameWork
Manager to import object from this new source I get error:

QE-DEF-0285 The Logon failed.
QE-DEF-0325 The logon failed for the following reasonn:
RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-
database attach to 1 database(s) in:

Cache Shadow HQ for Reporting

UDA-SQL-0031 Unable to access the "Cache..." database.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occured during the operation
"attach".

Connection is used only by System DSN configured by Cache interface.
There is no connection string entered in Cognos Connection setup.
User name in password is inside ODBC DSN setup

Any clues ?

Hello,

We had the same problem when we upgraded from Caché 5.0 to Caché 2010.
I think that it has something to do with the version of Cognos and
Caché.
I now, this isn't very helpfull but I only would to mention it.
We now use our own report-generator for the simple reports and plan to
move to DeepSee or ZEN Reports in the future if necessary.

Regards,

A little late, but accept thanks.
Now I know that I am not alone.

In continuation of my previous reply:

We solved this issue.
In our case we had installed newer version of Cognos,
contrary to yours where you installed newer version of Cache.
On our Cognos server, both instances, older and newer, were
running which were causing the issue I posted for. After
closing shutting down older Cognos, everything was working
again.

Hope it helps you someway.
