Founded in 2001 by a practicing family physician, Amazing Charts.com, LLC provides Electronic Health Record (EHR) software and services to health care providers in solo and small sized practices. Our mission is to develop an amazing practice-based medical software solution that improves the lives of our clients and their patients.  The Amazing Charts office is located in North Kingstown, RI, but this position has the flexibility to work in the DBC Pri-Med office located in the Back Bay in Boston and the Amazing Charts office in Rhode Island. 
We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented and highly organized InterSystems Cache/Ensemble Administrator  to join our team.  This individual will have real world experience administering and developing applications using InterSystems Cache/Ensemble/HealthShare platforms. This position will work to maintain and develop applications for our Interface Hub, which serves as the primary host for external interfaces between out Electronics Health Records system and other third party systems.    In addition, this position will work with technical
support team to diagnose and resolve production issues. This position will interact with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement system interface requirements.  The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of our application, code and processes, show aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies and work productively within a team environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience and 5+ years of experience with InterSystems Ensemble and Cache platform administration and application development.

  • Perform daily maintenance on existing InterSystems Cache/Ensemble servers located in a hosted environment.
  • Develop and maintain automated maintenance, backup, and monitoring procedures.
  • Perform and validate all necessary system updates.
  • Ensure system uptime and connectivity with all active interface partners.
  • Work with the engineering staff to develop new applications that utilize our Interface Hub.
  • Cache architecture experience should include:
    • Configuration - security, optimization, databases
    • High Availability options - journaling, backup, shadowing, mirroring
    • Ensemble/Cache maintenance and system monitoring
  • Programming experience should include:
    • Ensemble and/or HealthShare development
    • Cache ObjectScript, object-oriented programming
    • Cache database design
    • HL7, SQL, XML, HTTP, SOAP, web service development
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully integrate third party systems and applications.
  • Proven track record working with the HL7 interoperability standard.
  • Working knowledge of the CCR, CCD and C-CDA standards and experience with .NET considered a plus.
  • A strong technical background, experience testing and developing applications and Ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis moderate to complex software problems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment is critical.
