Subject: -Action Alert- OCCUPY THE PORT OF HOUSTON!

FINAL CALL TO ACTION: March on the port of Houston! At the November 28th Revolutionary Council meeting it was unanimously decided that OccupyNow! would orchestrate a march on the port of Houston in solidarity with Oakland and the West Coast. On December 4th we received word that Occupy Houston would be in full support of this action. We have since gained the support of Occupy Oakland, Occupy Wall St., Occupy Oklahoma, Occupy Arkansas, Occupy Louisiana, Occupy Fort Worth, Occupy San Antonio, Occupy Dallas & Occupy Laredo along with many others. We have organized a caravan that is leaving from Dallas City Hall at 7AM 12/10/11 to converge on Houston. Details to be discussed at the Occupy Houston GA 12/11/11. We hope to see all of your lovely faces in Houston!

CROSS-POST PLEASE!

Yours in resistance,
OccupyNow!

Has anyone from Houston formulated a message on the Port Commissioner locale?

I found this petition online I thought was interesting http://action.seiu.org/page/speakout/portofhouston?js=false Seu is, I think the service employeers international union.

Other than that, I'm having a hard time finding up to date information on the commission and CEO Alec G. Dreyer in regards to Attorney Vince Ryan's request. I did however e-mail the author of the article to see if there had been any follow up.

I know the current proposal for the Port of Houston Authority is $214.8 million in operating revenue for 2012 and $64.2 million in operating income. I don't have any information about projections of the General Counsel Office, which is the focus of the article.

Was there any new information provided by Union contacts about the continued use of questionable accounting practices?
