Occupy Congress Direct Action

Hello fellow occupiers,

I am writing to make sure that y'all know about the Occupy Congress action planned for December 19-23. During this week, the US Congress will be on vacation in their home districts and we would like to take this opportunity to have a presence of occupiers and other protestors at each district office. We also plan to solicit letters to be hand-delivered to members of congress during this time. Here is the InterOccupy Page for this action: http://interoccupy.org/occupycongress/

Please forward this information to anyone who might be interested. We are hoping to have a majority of Occupy GAs nationwide participate in this action. Please let us know if your Occupy is planning to participate ASAP because we are thinking of postponing this action if we do not have critical mass.

Hey Elizabeth,

How are you guys looking on this action? Have you reached critical
mass? Occupy Mississippi plans to have a few individuals participate
in visiting the district offices, while also pushing public responses
via email and letters. I plan to have this on the agenda for the GA on
Tuesday to finalize concensus of the group. If you happen to have any
good templates for emails/letters, let us know. Also, we'll take any
other good suggestions that other occupies have developed.
