Golden Palace USA Confusion

An announcement from the afiliate program at Golden Palace http://www.casinotabs.com/cgi-bin/goto-casino.pl?l=gopal&c=US&s=google casino today suggested that Golden Palace would be withdrawing from the USA, choosing to no longer accept US residents in light of the recently passed legislation, the "Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act". While the Act stops short of prohibiting online gambling in the USA, preferring to target financial institutions and make them responsible for stopping online gambling transactions by US residents, Golden Palace, who use Playtech software, is the latest casino to decide on this course of action.

 

However, a US player reports that they contacted Golden Palace about their account, to be told that at present Golden Palace will allow them to contine wagering from within the USA. While it looks likely that Golden Palace will choose to sell their US player accounts to another brand, there has been no clarification of the course of action to be decided. Following Playtech software's decision to stop targetting the USA, more and more of their licencees have been withdrawing their US facing services.
