Sorry for the delay in your posting being posted. I am not sure what
it is that you wanted to know. It would help to know what type of
computer you are using and the OS might be useful as well but in the
meantime. Since I know you I am going to take a wild guess and assume
(yah i know never assume) that you are using windows 7 on a PC. I am
going to guess that you just wanted to rename this or any other photo
to a name you can find easily instead of a number.
Just remember when you rename it to remember to put the .jpg at the
end of it as well so that you are not changing the type of photo.
Then all should be well.
I have made this type of mistake many times while i was learning how
to and still sometimes i do it even now when i try to do it too fast.
You can not open a file if you do not have an extension on it. This
particular one can be renamed a bmp but I can not think of a good
reason to do that since bmp's are larger size and you almost always
have to change them to jpg files in order to email or post ect.
The warning might be way your specific computer is set up but it is
likely just that a warning to make you one stops and thinks before
going on to do the renaming and hopefully to remind us all to make
sure 1. we don't erase what is after the . period or 2. that we
remember to make sure when we rename a file you make sure we include
the file extension as well.
I hope this was helpful.
Again i am so sorry it took so long for your posting to get posted.
