When you are learning how to make money on the internet, you will find
that the popularity of blogs for making money is still on the rise. I
remember starting my first blog back in 2005 (back then blogger was
real hot and still is).
Now blogging is becoming such a mainstream word and opportunity for
earning money. But what should you write about & how can you make
money blogging about your topic?
First I want to say this to keep you from becoming to confused, there
are two main ways to make money blogging online… micro niche blogs &
authority blogs.
Micro niche blogging, is the process of blogging about “micro niche”
topics. It’s better when you focus on a particular type of product
(i.e. glass punch bowls, 17 inch flat screen monitors, 8 year old’s
birthday parties, retirement age real estate investing, or a clickbank
product like “commission domination review”).
A micro niche blog usually has about 5-20 pages of content and built
around a topic like I mentioned above. You also usually need 20+ blogs
to reach $100 a day blogging. Unless you sell a service or high dollar
products like real estate. That’s exactly what we do with our we buy
house dallas blog. We use the “micro niche” concept to generate leads.
It only takes us a few deals per month to reach $10k per month. It’s a
high dollar value product. If you sold a service to small businesses
it you could easily make $10,000 per month with just a few clients
working just 5-10 hours per week (outsourcing the actual work).
An authority blog is the second way that you can make money blogging.
Here’s where some people make a mistake. An authority blog is a blog
that is going to built out to be a big site (a topic that has big
traffic potential and thus big money potential). If your topic doesn’t
have the potential to deliver 1,000 people a day, then it’s not a good
choice for an authority blog. Inside of an authority blog there is a
lot of micro niche topics.
How Do You Make Money (Monetize) Your Blog?
The two most popular ways to monetize your blog is through affiliate
marketing or adsense. You can start to make a few dollars blogging
with very little traffic when using Adsense (if your ads are in the
hot spots and get high click through rates).
You can start to buy traffic and send it to your blog if you are doing
affiliate marketing and start to make a living from blogging a lot
faster.
Generally… affiliate marketing can get you to $100 a day faster than
Adsense (if you buy traffic or get early rankings), but once your blog
is making good money from Adsense it’s usually more reliable and more
hands off… it’s also very low maintenance.
So, Adsense and affiliate marketing all have their pros and cons… you
just have to decide which one that you want to go with and run like
the wind. You can also use the 80/20 rule. Use Adsene to make 80% of
your money, but have an affiliate link or two in there to make a few
extra dollars… or vice versa. Either way you can have your blog up and
running and making money inside of a few days from scratch.
