Dear DC members,

We would like to share with you a kind reminder on the core functioning of IGF Dynamic Coalitions. We would also ask you to forward this email to your respective Dynamic Coalition mailing list for information purposes.

Guidelines for and Principles of Dynamic Coalitions

DCs are formed with the aim of being fair, open, collaborative, multistakeholder-based, and bottom-up initiatives dedicated to specific Internet governance issues.

Anyone interested in participating is welcome to join at equal footing and contribute to a DC group, regardless of their stakeholder group, policy positions, or relationship to the topic.

The DCs follow the three basic principles to maintain inclusivity and transparency in their work:

  • Open Membership: Anyone interested in the DCs work can become a member.
  • Open Mailing List: A DC subscription list must be clear and accessible. DCs can require disclosure of new subscribers.
  • Open Archives: The archives of a DC mailing list must remain accessible to the public.

The charter of the Dynamic Coalitions outlines more detailed information.

Dynamic Coalition Coordination Group (DCCG)

DCs (coordinators or other volunteering members) are encouraged to attend monthly meetings organized by the DCCG, which are open to all DC members.

To be a part of coordination activities, please subscribe to the DC mailing list. All news about upcoming meetings and coordination work will be available on the list, including details on how to participate in the meetings, as well as on the dedicated DC Coordination page.

Dynamic Coalition Branding and Specifier

The attached document, also available here on our website, provides guidance on the role of Dynamic Coalitions and their relationship to the IGF process, as well as guidelines on the use of the IGF logo.

In case of doubt, DCs can always reach out to the IGF Secretariat for further advice.

IGF Code of Conduct

We would also like to highlight the IGF Code of Conduct to which all members taking part in the IGF multistakeholder process (such as DCs) agree to: https://www.intgovforum.org/en/about#igf-code-of-conduct

We remain at your disposal should you have any questions.

With kind regards,

Celine on behalf of the IGF Secretariat
