USAID and the Private Financing Advisory Network will provide support for climate and clean energy in the Caribbean
Building on 18 years of supporting climate and clean energy entrepreneurs in mobilising investment, we are pleased to enter a new phase of PFAN through operating the Caribbean Climate Investment Program (CCIP)’s project preparation facility (PPF).

Through CCIP’s PPF, our network in Latin America and the Caribbean (PFAN-LAC) will guide promising projects from 14 Caribbean countries through the PFAN Journey, the three-step process which prepares entrepreneurs to attract investment to their climate and clean energy projects and provides them with targeted investor introductions. New to the PPF, PFAN-LAC is adding an extra step of assistance – pipeline development for pre-application support to projects, where PFAN's network of locally-based Advisors will aid eligible projects in preparing their application for PFAN-LAC’s services.

CCIP is a four-year activity under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s
Climate Finance for Development Accelerator that aims to unlock private sector investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, adaptation actions and natural climate solutions across the Caribbean.

CCIP’s PPF is implemented by a consortium between PFAN-LAC; the
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), an international non-profit organisation that develops clean energy markets in low- and middle-income countries; and Innovación Social y Ambiental (ISA), a non-profit organisation under GreenMomentum.
For over twenty years, REEEP has been a driving force in the global clean energy transition by accelerating the deployment of reliable and affordable clean energy solutions in low- and middle-income countries to benefit last-mile customers and the most vulnerable populations. In collaboration with ISA, we will build on our experience operating PFAN-LAC to usher promising climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives through the pre-investment cycle.

"The challenges and opportunities in Barbados are very different than in Burkina Faso,’’ says Eva Kelly, CEO of REEEP. ‘’We are using our vast experience in executing PFAN globally and revisioning it by creating regional chapters of the programme, highly attuned to the investment needs of the climate and clean energy projects the region requires and helping them to flourish. As an agile and adaptable partner, REEEP can tap into our strong connections with our global network of climate and clean energy advisors and investors to implement the PFAN model, together with funders and stakeholders looking to make an impact in a specific region and make private finance flow."
This new chapter of PFAN-LAC will see the return of roadshows, investor outreach events, financing forums and other in-person and virtual events where you can meet our team, gain valuable insights and learn what PFAN-LAC and the CCIP have to offer and how to apply for our services. Here’s to a cleaner, greener future!
