Hi All,
Could you please post this to your lists? Thanks so much.

Every month the association of Diplomatic and Consular Officers -
Retired (DACOR) partners with the United Nations Association (UNA-NCA)
to host mentoring dinners for young professionals and graduate
students interested in pursuing careers in international affairs,
especially the foreign service. Foreign service officers come from a
wide variety of backgrounds (teaching, military, law, medicine, etc.)
and range in age from 22-55.
The dinner is held at the historic BACON House (
www.dacorbacon.org/DBHF/DBHF_MAIN.htm)
and will be hosted by Ambassador Richard Kauzlarich, now with the US
Institute for Peace. Ambassador Kauzlarich joined the institute in the
spring of 2002, following a 32-year career in the foreign service that
included postings to Bosnia, Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Ethiopia,
Israel, and Togo. He is an expert on diplomatic relations with the
former Soviet Union and with the European Union.
The dinners are small - limited to 4-7 participants - and attendees
receive the mentor's contact information, which can be very useful
later on for career networking.
This month's dinner will be on Thursday (March 27th) from 6:15 to
about 8:30pm. Interested parties should send two-paragraph bios
(education, work experience, areas of interest in international
affairs) ASAP to Jaclyn Selby at
unancam...@gmail.com.
Although spots fill quickly, we do also maintain a wait list for
upcoming dinners!
